Your driver picks you up from your hotel or desert camp in the afternoon, at a time chosen so that you reach the viewpoint before sunset. You leave the village in the 4×4 and follow desert tracks across stony plains and past a dry lake, with stops for photos along the way. Then you drive to the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, where there is time to walk on the sand and, if you wish, to try sandboarding down the dunes (optional, boards available on request).
You watch the sunset from a panoramic point, with the dunes changing colour as the sun goes down. When the light fades, your driver takes you back to Merzouga and drops you at your hotel or camp. As the tour is private, we can adapt the route, the stops and the timing to your wishes and to the season.
